The Big Pitcher

Actress Jo Trull enjoys the anti-aging benefits of oxygen water!

TheBigPitcher is a small electric appliance that quickly oxygenates drinking water for a safe, convenient way to increase molecular oxygen to the bloodstream. Oxygen is the common denominator of health. It plays the role of metabolizer and cleanser and every bodily function requires boatloads of it.

A middle aged adult body is about 2/3 water. A body weighing 180 pounds holds about 14 gallons of water. Think about it - that's a lot of water! There isn't one dry place in the human body.

By design, the trillions of chemical reactions taking place in the body at any given second are all occurring in a fluid transfer environment. We know that staying properly hydrated is a condition of health -- that constant fluid balance must be maintained by matching fluid intake to fluid loss.

Following is a table describing distribution of body fluids in a healthy body.

FLUID DISTRIBUTION QUANTITY
Water Throughout the body
Intracellular Inside cells 55% of total fluid
Extracellular Blood plasma 7.8%
Lymph and space between cells 20%
Cerebrospinal and eyes, ears 2.5%
Bones 7.5%
Connective tissue 7.5%

The properties of body fluid are similar to physical properties of water outside the body. Physical properties of water include temperature, purity, pH and oxygen saturation.

We know that the bloodstream carries in suspension nutrients and biological waste to and from cells. But of course the primary function of blood is to deliver oxygen to cells. Our pulmonary system is perfectly designed to support this function and does so efficiently under perfect conditions.

Under imperfect conditions, however, it is possible if not probable, that our cells are starving for oxygen. Modern life presents a huge challenge to the perfection of the pulmonary system we were born with.

In 1632, ancient astronomer Galileo stood trial for his continued teaching that Earth revolved around the Sun, an action against the Church's specific and opposite teaching. After being found guilty of heresy and forced to recant his scientific findings, Galileo was heard to murmur, "and yet, it moves."

The earth moves. Blood must deliver oxygen to cells, regardless of pulmonary function.

When pulmonary function is inadequate to meet oxygen demand, when lifestyles exceed the ability of our lungs to oxygenate our blood effectively to metabolize and remove waste, what then?

Chronic Oxygen Debt Syndrome is a condition most of us suffer from. It has no symptoms of its own. There are no associations hosting fun walks or fund-raising marathons. You won't find the term in medical textbooks. And yet, it exists.

In fact, Chronic Oxygen Debt Syndrome is responsible for a wide variety of disease states and aging-related maladies, from high blood pressure to obesity to dementia. Oxygen is simply the big picture in a medical world becoming more complex each day.
